Completion of a large mine site in Guatemala

May 1, 2012

Airborne Imaging today announced it has completed acquisition of a large mine site in Guatemala. The project was flown via helicopter using Airborne ALS 50 LiDAR system and its proprietary mount for the LiDAR unit. The project was comprised of a couple of sites and was completed on budget in the allotted time frame. “We were fortunate with weather, the system performed flawlessly and other than alittle civil unrest, all went as planned, “chuckled Project Manager, Paul Williams. “We had some rioting in a neighboring village and needing to move operations around abit, but the project was not adversely affected. We flew at a very high point density due to the jungle and the final point cloud and ground model is looking very nice. Penetration was not a concern on this project.”
