New Leica ALS70-HP LiDAR System

April 1, 2013

Airborne Imaging is pleased to announce we have accepted delivery of our newest LiDAR sensor from Leica today. The system is a new Leica ALS70-HP and will join the

other 4 systems in Airborne’s arsenal. Airborne is Canada’s largest LiDAR acquisition and processing company, with a focus in Airborne and mobile mapping.

“We have been very pleased with the performance of our other Leica ALS70-HP sensor, purchased in 2012. It has been a very reliable and productive sensor. Purchasing a second unit was an easy decision based on this tremendous performance to date. The sensor will undergo field tests the first week in April and be in the field and in production by mid-April”, says Mike Perdue, Operation Manager for Airborne Imaging in Calgary.

Airborne has offices in Calgary, Houston, Ottawa, and Vancouver and performs LiDAR surveys for our over 500 clients throughout North America and internationally. In addition, Airborne owns and markets the largest privately held LiDAR library in North America.
